What is Piadina ?

Piada or piadina is a regional bread with roots dating back to the ancient Roman tradition. In the previous century it was found strictly in the Romagna region of Italy (between the Apennines and the Adriatic Sea) and it was considered the poor man's food, seen originally at the table for farmers when bread was scarce and poverty was abundant.

Today it is a g
astronomic and culinary delight, internationally known as the authentic specialty served in traditional restaurants in Emilia Romagna and in the world's oldest Republic, San Marino. As they say in Italian: "provare per credere!" (Try IT to believe it!).
